Why it’s important to manage inbound SMS effectively?
Businesses of all sizes should consider setting up a virtual mobile number where they can receive SMS online.
As your business expands, you might want to consider purchasing a dedicated number.
How do dedicated numbers work?
Dedicated numbers, also referred to as virtual phone numbers or long codes, are vital for two-way text messaging. These numbers can be used by one business at a time. In other words, purchasing a dedicated number means that only you will be able to use it.
Textmagic dedicated numbers work only locally and can receive messages only from local mobile subscribers/operators, not from SMS providers.
How much does a dedicated number cost?
Prices for dedicated numbers vary according to the country of origin, and they are paid on a monthly basis. Please check out our price list for more information.
Can I use my company’s name when sending and receiving SMS messages online?
You can send SMS messages using your company name if you use a sender ID.
You can apply for multiple sender IDs on one account. The maximum length of a sender ID is 11 characters.
If you send a message from a sender ID, no one will be able to reply to you.
Where can I monitor online texting and receiving?
Whether you’re using a shared number or a dedicated one, you can view incoming SMS messages in SMS Chat or in the SMS history. We will also send a copy of the reply to the email address that the account is registered with and to any additional email that you specify in the email notifications.
Can I send messages from my own mobile number and receive replies online?
Unfortunately, this is not possible because Textmagic does not have control over your mobile number.
Your recipient will see your own mobile number as the sender and all replies will go to your personal mobile phone.
